The 15th edition of the IPL happened on 25th March- 29th May 2022. Ten teams played against each other in this season. The existing teams are eight but the Board of Control for Cricket in India has added two more.
The BCCI decided that the host for the IPL 2022 was in one or two Indian locations. Pune and Mumbai hosted this year’s IPL. One stadium in Pune and three in Mumbai hosted the matches.
The Wankhede stadium and DY Patil were the main hosts for 20 games each. The Brabourne stadium hosted fifteen matches. The MCA International Stadium in Pune also hosted fifteen matches too.
